A wonderful, experience with this father and son team.
Glendon, Northamptonshire is a village in the parish of Rushton. Glendon’s neighbours include Kettering and Desborough.
With reference being made to the abandoned medieval village in the Domesday Book, it recorded to have just a population of fourteen. The village was demolished, and land used for the rearing of sheep for the local wool trade.
Aside from the embankments indicating the main street through the village it is a shadow of its former self other than the imposing Glendon Hall. This mansion dates back to the 17th century and the television show Time Team, when visiting back in 2005, confirmed the historical importance of the site back in the Medieval times. Glendon Hall is said to have been built on a Medieval cemetery where 21 skeletons were found.
